SIGGRAPH is quickly approaching. It takes place August third thru August seventh in New Orleans. This is the ?highest quality, most timely educational experiences the community has to offer, presented by the most powerful and most engaging leaders in computer graphics and interactive techniques,? according to the SIGGRAPH Web site.

I am attending for Pearson, the parent company of Addison-Wesley, Prentice Hall, Sams Publishing, Que Publishing, PeachPit, and others. At the event in New Orleans, I will be posting videos and tweeting from the show floor. Keep up to date with these by following my Twitter account (@prebynski) and viewing the InformIT SIGGRAPH page during the event.

Will you be at SIGGRAPH this year? Stop by the Pearson booth, #2609, and say, ?Hello!?

SIGGRAPH is ?the? event for big screen animation, 3D and graphics programming, CG, and special effects. From the SIGGRAPH web site, a breakdown of the topics covered by audience and exhibitors is as follows:

Pearson has some new titles debuting at the event. See all the new products at the Pearson booth. Save some cash by taking advantage of the discount that is being offered at the InformIT SIGGRAPH page. New titles include:

At our booth, we will also have samples from the upcoming, updated OpenGL ES 2.0 Programming Guide which includes content for iPhone development.

Other big name exhibitors at the event include Sony, Disney, nVidia, Industrial Light and Magic, and about a billion others. View the complete exhibitor list. This is a huge show, and it should prove to offer a lot of worthwhile face-to-face contacts with the people who make it all happen in the high-end graphics industry.

Remember that I will be posting videos and tweeting from the show floor. Keep up to date with these by following my Twitter account (@prebynski) and viewing the InformIT SIGGRAPH page.
